Arlington Community FCU, we’re a nonprofit, member-owned cooperative where you are the shareholder! We reinvest our profits in our cooperative to ensure we consistently offer lower fees and better rates. When you join and open an account, you don’t just become a member, you become a part owner for life!
Becoming a member is easier than you think!
All you need is $5 and proof of eligibility.
Just about anyone can bank at Arlington Community FCU. You’re eligible to join if:
- You live, work, worship, volunteer, go to school or do consistent business in Arlington, Fairfax County, City of Alexandria, and City of Falls Church, VA.
- You’re an immediate family member of a current member: spouse, parent, grandparent, stepparent, child, grandchild, stepchild sibling/stepsibling.
- You live with someone who is eligible including a domestic partner, legal guardian, foster child, roommate with shared finances.
- You have an immediate family member who is eligible to join under #1 above, even if they haven’t joined yet.
- You become a member of an ACFCU-designated association that supports our community impact efforts.
A New Way to Join!
All you need is $5 and proof of eligibility.
ACFCU has an exciting new way for you to become a member if you live outside of our field of membership! We have partnered with the Student Conservation Association (SCA), a nonprofit passionate about conservation and workforce development in communities across the country. If you become a member of the SCA, you will be eligible for ACFCU membership, and we’ll pay your $5 SCA membership fee on your behalf!
ACFCU is committed to workforce development and through partnerships with the Student Conservation Association, Arlington County Public Schools, and nonprofits in our field of membership, we’re creating a vibrant and talented workforce, together. We appreciate your membership and are excited for you to learn more!
*Your name and email will be provided to SCA and you will receive a short series of welcome emails, but we’ve opted you out of subsequent communications.*

All you need is $5 and proof of eligibility.
In order to become a member, the business must be located in our field of membership: Arlington County, City of Alexandria, City of Falls Church, or Fairfax County.
Two alternative ways your business can qualify:
- Be a sole proprietorship with the person qualifying for individual membership.
- Have all owners qualify for individual membership IF the business is not located in the field of membership.
