How to Limit Fees If Exceeding Your Available Balance

You don’t really care what it’s called. You just want something to cover a check or other debit from your account when you’re at $0 so you can:

  • Avoid a fee on the other end
  • Not impact your good credit
  • Minimize the fees you pay on our end

You can link your Savings Account or a Personal Line of Credit to your Checking Account. Below is a chart that compares the two options:

Definition: Your Available Balance is the amount of money in your account, minus any holds (such as outstanding Debit Card authorizations) and deposits that aren’t yet available due to our Funds Availability Policy.
