Energy Improvement Loan Rates and Terms

 

Property Requirements

Energy Improvement Loans are available on the following properties: single family properties that are detached, semi-detached, or attached single unit, owner-occupied single residences. Condominiums, manufactured homes, rental properties, and mobile homes are not eligible, although condominiums can participate in Home Performance with ENERGY STAR on a case by case basis.

Loan Disbursement Requirements

Loan proceeds will be disbursed to the contractor after the work is satisfactorily completed. Loan disbursement requires an executed FHA Completion Certificate for Property Improvements by the borrower and a lender property inspection (fees waived by the credit union).

* APR = Annual Percentage Rate. Rates are subject to change without notice. Homeowners must register and be approved by the Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP) and must enroll in LEAP’s Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program. Applicants should register with LEAP before applying for an Energy Improvement Loan. The Energy Improvement Loan is offered through Arlington Community Federal Credit Union. Loan approval is subject to credit and credit union membership criteria. Not all will qualify.  Property and other restrictions apply. Payment example: Loan amount of $10,000 at 4.99% APR for 120 months would have a monthly payment of $106.00.  Loan amount of $10,000 at 6.99% APR for 84 months would have monthly payment of $150.89.  Consult with tax advisor for details.
